In the surrounding communities the traditional “Movement Week” took place. i.e. Sports clubs, etc. are organizing free training sessions, etc.

This week I wanted to find out about my swimming achievements.

This week I had again three training sessions on the program.
With the bike I needed to find a new route and found one in direction to Kyburg – with 560 vertical meters for the entire route it was quite exhausting.

This week was quite ok – no special occurrences.
Only at the two hours run I had quite hard calves towards the end of the run.

After the first training week, I was quite done – well from the couch potato (ok this is now somewhat exaggerated) to a Ironman is a hard way.

When I still was active in athletics, we had a coach and were a good group. So there wasn’t any problems with the training program and it wasn’t a big problem to overcome my weaker self.

Company triathlon

As we had fun last year I decided to sign in for the Company triathlon this year again – and again for the biking section. I even buyed a new racebike at the beginning of the year.
This time we even had 9 teams at the starting line.

In our company they where loooking for some participants for the Company triathlon gesucht. i.e. a team has three athletes with at least one women and the race goes over the olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km biking and 10 km running).
As the whole stands under the motto of fun I applied for the running part, but as too many wanted doing the run I switched to the bike.
Finally we had 7 teams together.
